As a Summer Analyst in Financial Management, you will gain insights into our disciplined approach to financial analysis, management, and reporting. Program Overview:

This immersive 10-week program is designed for rising seniors, offering hands-on experience and exposure to Financial Management. You will be integrated into a specific team, allowing you to develop essential skills and knowledge. Collaborate with MUFG professionals at various levels who will guide and mentor you. In addition to your assigned responsibilities, you will engage with fellow Summer Analysts and connect with the Next Generation Leaders Employee Relations Group for additional mentorship.

Training Opportunities:

Alongside in-depth training for your specific tasks, you will participate in learning sessions led by finance leaders throughout the program. As a MUFG employee, you will also have access to an extensive online training platform offering a variety of courses, from Excel to Leadership Development.

Support & Mentorship:

Your assigned manager will set professional goals and provide development guidance, conducting performance reviews to support your growth. You will have opportunities to network across different business lines and levels within the organization. In our inclusive environment, senior colleagues will recognize your contributions. By the end of the program, you will have a deeper understanding of the finance sector, paired with a mentor and a buddy to assist you throughout your journey.

Career Development:

High-performing Summer Analysts may receive offers for full-time positions upon graduation. Depending on your interests, you may be offered a defined analyst role in one of our Finance groups or a three-year rotational program, providing exposure to various finance disciplines.

Internship Opportunities:
  • Business Unit Controllers: Ensure control and maintenance of the general ledger, which is vital for financial reporting.
  • Data & Financial Operations Governance: Assist in governance activities, coordinating with business teams to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Enterprise Reporting & Analytics: Support processes that deliver critical data and analytics for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
  • Strong interest in banking and finance career paths.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between Winter 2025 and Spring 2026.
  • Solid academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate thoughts effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:

The typical base pay range for this role is $30 per hour, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, educational assistance, and paid leave.
