Social Services Coordinator
for our dedicated team.
What We Provide:
Compensation:
$24.00 to $25.00
per hour
On-call for after-hours emergencies

Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
The Social Services Coordinator will conduct evaluations for residents seeking assistance with social services, including subsidized housing, healthcare, or job placement.
Establish and nurture positive and productive professional relationships with all residents to ensure that:Residents and their visitors maintain appropriate conduct that fosters mutual respect among property management staff and fellow residents, promoting harmony within the community.
Residents engage in voluntary services by attending scheduled meetings and appointments.Social service inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively with referral services.
Assist in recruiting and enrolling applicants, guiding them towards community resources.
Hold regular meetings with property management staff to develop and continuously enhance standard policies and procedures for effectively addressing resident and property concerns.
As necessary, in collaboration with property management and maintenance teams, develop, document, and coordinate collaborative strategies to meet the specialized needs of residents facing significant life challenges.
QualificationsWhile we take pride in offering on-the-job training for all roles, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral health, or a related field, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 2-3 years working in programs serving homeless or other special needs populations.
Experience in affordable senior housing or similar residential settings is advantageous.
A personal commitment to the mission of affordable senior housing.
Exceptional written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
Skills in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
Proficient multitasking capabilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and Yardi or comparable property management software.
Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of vehicle insurance.
Candidates will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening (a conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).
