Social Services Coordinator

to join our team at Reflections at Barbara Ann/Sepulveda.

What We Provide:

On-call for after-hours emergencies

Key Responsibilities

The Social Services Coordinator will conduct assessments for residents seeking various social services, including subsidized housing, healthcare, or job assistance.

Establish and nurture positive and effective professional relationships with residents to ensure that:

Residents and their visitors maintain appropriate conduct that fosters mutual respect among property management staff and fellow residents, thereby promoting harmony within the community.

Residents engage in voluntary services by attending scheduled meetings and appointments.
Social service needs are addressed promptly and effectively through appropriate referrals.
Assist in recruiting and enrolling applicants, guiding them to community resources.

Facilitate regular meetings with property management staff to develop and continuously enhance standard policies and procedures for effectively addressing resident and property concerns.

As necessary, in collaboration with property management and maintenance, develop, document, and coordinate plans to address the specialized needs of residents facing significant life challenges.

Qualifications
While we are proud to offer on-the-job training for all positions, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral health, or a related field, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with homeless or special needs populations.
Experience in affordable senior housing or similar residential settings is advantageous.
A strong personal commitment to the mission of affordable senior housing.
Exceptional written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
Skills in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
Proficient multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and Yardi or comparable property management software.
Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of vehicle insurance.

Candidates will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening (a conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).

WSH Management has been managing senior and multifamily properties for over 20 years, demonstrating extensive experience in managing both affordable and market-rate apartment communities.

We currently oversee more than 60 properties in California and employ over 175 individuals.

Compensation Details:
$24.00 - $25.00 Hourly Wage
