Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Type: Contract

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Key Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Proficiency in Vendor Management applications.
  • Experience in application integration with enterprise software and feature enhancements.
  • Hands-on experience with COTS systems implementations throughout the full life cycle.
  • Familiarity with Financial Systems, particularly in Billing and Payment processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring and work planning.
  • Project Management experience, specifically in leading small-scale implementations and upgrades.
  • Technical expertise in relevant areas.
  • Understanding of audit requirements for financial systems.
Role Summary:
  • The Lead Business Solutions Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for the Utility Billing System (UMIS), focusing on developing functional requirements, testing, training, implementation, and support documentation in close collaboration with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams.
Essential Skills:
  • Five (5) years of direct experience as a Business Analyst is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of the utility business sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Project management and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in gathering user requirements and producing formal business and functional specifications.
  • Understanding of web technologies, mobility, infrastructure, and relational database concepts.
  • Adept at managing and adapting in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership, strategy, and management for business processes related to UMIS.
  • Define, document, and analyze current and proposed business processes and user documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis for product/service recommendations, including service descriptions, processing considerations, and financial implications.
  • Offer consulting support on UMIS processes and systems.
  • Conduct interviews with executives, operational management, and end-users to assess business requirements and workflows.
  • Document processes and formal business requirements related to UMIS utilization, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Develop use cases and test plans, ensuring quality assurance and functional testing.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for end-users regarding business processes and workflows associated with UMIS.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and solution providers on business challenges and solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues to achieve service objectives.
  • Participate in the product life cycle by researching specifications and contributing to profit/loss analyses.
  • Coordinate implementation projects across various business units and vendors.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders to establish a reputation as a technical thought leader.
  • Regularly meet with key stakeholders to provide updates and status reports.
  • Proactively communicate challenges and opportunities to enhance business performance.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that values team contributions and expertise.
  • Participate in team meetings and maintain effective communication with team members and management.
Work Environment:
  • Adhere to professional standards and requirements to maintain a business-oriented work environment.
  • Comply with safety standards set by the organization.
Personnel Management:
  • Collaborate with management to set performance objectives and goals.
