THE ROLE:

The Lead Product Solutions Engineer:

System Solutions Architect – AI Software, Data Center GPU will be instrumental within the Data Center GPU division.

This position is client-facing and will emphasize advanced customer engagement, including strategic planning, solution architecture, and architectural enablement.

This individual will be pivotal in assisting Business Units to secure Data Center GPU designs utilizing AMD's current and future generation GPUs, acting as the technical and business expert on AMD AI Software solutions, comprehending unique customer support needs, and ensuring successful design wins.


THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive capability and skillsets, encompassing Data Center GPU product expertise, Machine Learning applications and solutions, High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications and solutions, customer business models, end-user and target segment solutions, applications, workloads, etc.

Additional requirements include excellent customer relationship management and strong leadership to drive progress with both internal and external stakeholders. This individual will be highly self-motivated, capable of navigating ambiguity autonomously, and consistently striving for excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate closely with Business Unit Product Marketing Managers, Business Development Managers, Silicon and Platform architects, Hardware and Firmware/Software developers to facilitate and drive advanced customer engagement, leading to successful customer Design-Win closures.

Act as the primary technical contact in customer interactions, promoting AMD data center GPU technologies/products and capabilities. Identify key players in the expanding AI market and foster robust technical and business relationships. Manage all pre-Design-Win efforts and deliverables, including complex enterprise-class architecture and engineering engagements, capturing and scoping unique customer software solution requirements and justifying business opportunities.

Understand the customer's business strategy and align AMD DCGPU software roadmap accordingly. Comprehend customer firmware/software requirements, configurations, applications, workloads, and architect solutions accordingly. Cultivate customer relationships and manage expectations to ensure alignment with AMD business objectives. Represent your accounts/customers, serving as a strong advocate internally. Be the trusted technical advisor for both Business Units and Customers.

Strive for the highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Profound knowledge of AI software solutions stack, including the technologies, frameworks, libraries, and tools utilized to develop and deploy AI applications. In-depth understanding of Data Center GPU architecture, design, and development processes. Comprehensive understanding of AI workloads and software stack. Significant experience in a customer-facing role across multiple functions within a large organization.

Experience with AI & HPC end customers is a significant advantage. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle several simultaneous projects. Results-oriented.


EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Software, Computer, Electrical)

LOCATION:

Bay Area, CA or Austin TX. At AMD, your base pay is one component of your total rewards package.
