We are seeking experienced software engineers to become part of our Planning and Controls team, tasked with revolutionizing the future of driving.

Your Role:

  • Design and develop robust, redundant, and safety-critical algorithms for behavior and motion planning across various driving environments.
  • Address core challenges in redundant actuation, degraded operation, and fail-safe control mechanisms.
  • Architect, design, and implement new features for behavior planning driven by product requirements.
  • Validate and test functionalities in diverse scenarios, both in simulation and real-world conditions.
  • Create an autonomous system with a safety framework adaptable to various settings, including geographical differences, sensor types, map availability, and environmental conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers specializing in perception, mapping, vehicle control, and user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical engineering field (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of demonstrated experience in software development.
  • Practical experience in robotics is essential.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Python is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in Linux or other Unix-based systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to tackle technical challenges in compute-constrained environments.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in autonomous vehicle software development and deploying production code.
  • PhD in a relevant field or related research experience.
  • In-depth understanding of planning algorithms and/or a background in controls.
  • Knowledge of CUDA is a plus.

Compensation: The base salary range is competitive and will be determined based on your experience and location. You will also be eligible for equity and comprehensive benefits.
