Automotive Engineering Technician

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Engineering Technician to join our Autonomous Vehicle team at Insight Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining hardware systems to drive the car, working closely with senior engineers, electrical, mechanical, software engineering, and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities- Hardware Development and Maintenance: Design, build, test, and maintain autonomous development systems, including integration with vehicle platforms and debugging.
- System Integration and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems, conduct thorough testing, and ensure seamless operation.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Utilize strong analytical and mechanical aptitude skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Linux, navigation, operating commands, testing sensors, and scripting with Python and other languages.
- Education and Certifications: Completion of Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience, and current valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Experience and Skills: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical/electronics and vehicles, with high proficiency in these areas, and ASE or MECP certification preferred.
- Advanced Technical Skills: High proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic systems, and thorough knowledge of test equipment, including instruments for diagnostic purposes.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in electronic components, automotive industry, and equipment, and experience working in a fast-paced environment with high-quality performance.
