Job Title: Business Development Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Consultant to join our team at Arctic Office Products in Anchorage, AK. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales of copiers, printers, and related office equipment, as well as developing and executing business growth strategies.

Salary: $60,000 - $120,000+ per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a base salary + uncapped commission position, offering a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and advancement. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within assigned territories, developing a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, and industry research, conducting thorough needs analysis to recommend appropriate copier and printer solutions, and negotiating terms of sale, including pricing and service agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories, develop a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, and industry research.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Meet with potential clients to assess their office equipment needs, conduct thorough needs analysis to recommend appropriate copier and printer solutions that align with the client's goals and budget.
  • Product Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations to highlight the features and benefits of copiers and printers, prepare and deliver customized proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms of sale, including pricing and service agreements, close sales and ensure that contracts are executed properly, meeting all client expectations.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business, provide after-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitors, continuously update knowledge of copier and printer technology to provide the best solutions to clients.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and deal progress in the CRM system, submit regular sales reports to management, highlighting performance, pipeline status, and opportunities for growth.
