At Barnum Financial Group, the Human Capital team oversees all facets of the employee life cycle while crafting and managing various training and development initiatives aimed at fostering continuous improvement. We are seeking an intern to support our Human Capital team in the areas of Training & Development and general human resources functions within the department. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, adaptable, proficient with various technology platforms, possess a strong client service orientation, and exhibit exceptional organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics and confirm details with presenters for upcoming training sessions.
  • Manage training activities, including sending invitations, recording sessions, tracking attendance, conducting analysis, and fulfilling post-session requirements.
  • Devise and implement innovative strategies to improve training efficiencies.
  • Conduct research and provide insights on new platforms, technologies, and resources.
  • Update Barnum's internal intranet, B-1, with information on training sessions and HR updates.
  • Create surveys and collect feedback following training sessions.
  • Assist with overall event coordination, including communication with internal specialists, catering arrangements, and, if necessary, travel/hotel accommodations.
  • Engage in training sessions to acquire new skills and promote a culture of learning.
  • Proactively manage internal platforms and systems such as Salesforce, online folders, and shared documents to ensure information remains current and accurate.
  • Maintain guidelines, policies, procedures, and HR manuals for employees and contracted associates.
  • Provide ad hoc support on assigned projects and any escalations.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), Zoom, and other relevant business tools.
