Client Support Specialist

Position Summary:
The Client Services Provider plays a vital role under the supervision of the Program Director, focusing on the oversight and support of clients at the Golden State Triage Center, a residential program designed for homeless adults.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and monitor the facility to ensure a safe environment.
2. Address the basic needs of program guests, including food, hygiene, and shelter.
3. Maintain accurate written documentation of guest activities.
4. Conduct rounds, counts, and inspections, recording findings on appropriate forms.
5. Manage incoming calls and respond to visitors at the door/gate.
6. Facilitate the intake process for new guests.
7. Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as necessary.
8. Document any areas of concern using incident reporting formats.
9. Organize and lead recreational and life skills activities for guests.
10. Perform general office duties, including filing.
11. Carry out routine janitorial tasks as required.
12. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.
13. Maintain a physical presence within the program.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in client supervision is preferred.
- Current certification in emergency first aid and CPR is advantageous.
- Ability to document communications, behaviors, and routine events clearly and accurately.
- Capable of visually monitoring the resident population.
- Experience in conducting perimeter and room checks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and familiarity with communication platforms like Teams and Zoom.
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
