POSITION OVERVIEW

The Client Support Specialist, under the supervision of the Program Director, plays a crucial role in overseeing and assisting clients at the Golden State Triage Center, a residential facility catering to homeless adults.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervise and monitor the facility's operations.
  2. Ensure that the fundamental needs of program participants (nutrition, hygiene, accommodation) are adequately addressed.
  3. Maintain written documentation of client activities.
  4. Record rounds, counts, and inspections using designated forms.
  5. Manage incoming calls and visitor access.
  6. Conduct client intakes.
  7. Provide crisis intervention and facilitate conflict resolution.
  8. Document concerns through incident reports.
  9. Organize recreational and life skills activities for clients.
  10. Perform clerical tasks and general office duties as required.
  11. Execute routine cleaning tasks as necessary.
  12. Respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations.
  13. Physical presence within the program is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED is required.
  2. Preferred: Two years of experience in client supervision.
  3. Current certification in emergency first aid and CPR is preferred.
  4. Ability to document communications, behaviors, and routine events clearly and accurately.
  5. Capable of visually monitoring the resident population.
  6. Conduct perimeter and room inspections.
  7. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom, and other communication platforms.
  8. Must pass a criminal background check.
  9. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and TB test.
