Position Summary

The primary duty of a sleigh ride operator is to ensure the safe and timely transport of guests from the base area to on-mountain dining venues using a sleigh towed by a snow cat.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: Potentially Available
  • Expected Compensation: $21.36 per hour
  • Availability: Full-Time and Part-Time
  • Skill Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a snow cat (Pisten Bully or Prinoth) with a large sleigh securely attached, ensuring personal and passenger safety.
  • Transport guests to various mountain dining locations, adhering to approved routes and understanding the capabilities of the snow cat.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of the snow cat, including paperwork, fluid checks, and maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams regarding any issues or incidents.
  • Utilize a two-way radio to relay position, status, and timelines to the rest of the crew.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests, assisting the sleigh host as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the company’s presentation standards and arriving with a positive attitude.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Reference check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Physically capable of frequently climbing on and off heavy equipment.
  • Able to sit for extended periods while operating a snow cat.

The expected compensation for this role is $21.36 per hour, based on various factors influencing individual compensation decisions.
