Position Summary

The primary duty of a sleigh ride operator is to ensure the safe and timely transport of guests from the base area to mountain dining venues using a sleigh towed by a snow cat.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available
  • Expected Pay Range: $21.36 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time
  • Skill Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely maneuvering a snow cat (Pisten Bully or Prinoth) with a substantial 5-ton sleigh attached. This includes ensuring personal safety as well as the safety of the vehicle and sleigh.
  • Picking up guests and transporting them to various mountain dining locations, while being knowledgeable of approved routes and the capabilities of the snow cat.
  • Conducting pre- and post-operation inspections on the snow cat (including paperwork, fluid checks, damage assessments, snow removal, fueling, etc.).
  • Communicating any issues, incidents, or concerns to supervisors and management, as well as reporting any damage to fleet maintenance.
  • Utilizing a two-way radio to inform the rest of the snow cat crew of your position, status, and schedule.
  • Delivering outstanding guest service to all internal and external visitors, assisting the sleigh host with guest needs as required.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance: adhering to the company presentation standards, keeping your uniform clean, and arriving at work with a positive demeanor.
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary.

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. -required

  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Reference check. –required
  • Minimum age of 18 years. –required
  • High school diploma or equivalent. –required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. –required
  • Physically capable of frequently climbing on and off heavy equipment. –required
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a snow cat. –required

The anticipated pay range is $21.36. This is the range we expect to offer for this position, with individual compensation based on various factors.
