Position: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

Location: Denver, Colorado

Overview:

Knott Laboratory, LLC is in search of a dedicated Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team in the Denver Metro or Front Range area of Colorado. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting boundary and topographical surveys, drafting legal descriptions, performing ALTA surveys, and managing easements and right-of-way documentation. This role requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, drafting, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive boundary and topographical surveys.
  • Prepare legal descriptions and manage ALTA surveys.
  • Research and draft subdivision plats.
  • Oversee and mentor drafting technicians.
  • Engage in project management and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS).
  • Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Colorado is mandatory.
  • Willingness to pursue additional state licensure during employment.
  • Resident of the Front Range area of Colorado.
  • In-depth knowledge of professional survey standards, codes, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience in directing drafting technicians.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple projects remotely.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's license and a driving record that meets company safety standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000, based on experience and licensure.
