Position Overview
Knott Laboratory, LLC is in search of a dedicated Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team in the Denver Metro or Front Range region of Colorado. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting boundary and topographical surveys, preparing legal descriptions, performing ALTA surveys, managing easements and right-of-way issues, conducting research, and executing subdivision platting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive boundary and topographical surveys.
- Prepare detailed legal descriptions and ALTA surveys.
- Manage easements and right-of-way documentation.
- Perform research and subdivision platting tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering and drafting professionals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor (PLS).
- Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Colorado is mandatory.
- Willingness to pursue additional state licensure during employment.
- Resident of the Front Range area in Colorado.
- Strong knowledge of professional survey standards, codes, and procedures.
- Experience in supervising drafting technicians and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Project management experience with the ability to engage with clients, peers, and junior staff.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple projects remotely.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Valid Colorado Driver's license with a driving record that meets company safety requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000, based on experience and licensure.
- Job Type: Full Time
- Flexible work setting: Remote/Home office work up to 50%; Field Inspections/Site Visits up to 50%.

Knott Laboratory is a well-established forensic engineering firm with over 40 years of experience in the field. Our forensic engineers frequently serve as expert witnesses, providing pre-litigation and post-litigation consulting, analysis, and exhibits for depositions and jury trials.
