Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $35 to $45, depending on experience.

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Surveyor/Technician will be responsible for preparing and overseeing survey deliverables, collaborating with clients and design professionals, and guiding team members. Key responsibilities include processing and verifying survey data, creating survey drawings, as-builts, and construction stakeout deliverables, as well as producing design support surveys, topographic maps, subdivision plats, land survey plats, and ALTA Land Title Surveys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze property boundaries for various projects, including roads and pipelines.
  • Assist in quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) for survey operations.
  • Communicate effectively with design teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct QAQC reviews of survey products.
  • Oversee staking layout procedures and checks.
  • Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of survey equipment.
  • Provide research support and review research procedures.
  • Mentor and advise survey personnel.
  • Support project oversight, including scoping and estimating.
  • Participate in personnel recruitment and business development efforts.
  • Compile survey computations to ensure data adequacy.
  • Process field information for topographic and design support surveys.
  • Prepare project proposals and manage budgets and timelines.
  • Manage entitlements in accordance with state regulations.
Required Competencies:
  • Ability to analyze field information related to boundary retracement and construction support.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of land surveying principles and equipment.
  • Expertise in ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, and construction staking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of three years of surveying experience.
  • Professional Land Surveyor Licensure in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Experience with Trimble field equipment is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
