Job Overview

Position: Part-Time Cybersecurity Strategy and Policy Consultant


Summary: Hoplite Group is in search of a part-time Cybersecurity Strategy and Policy Consultant to contribute to Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) for SOUTHCOM Partner Nations. We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in crafting long-term cybersecurity strategies.


Work Arrangement: Remote support with potential engagements in partner nations.


Effort Level: Part-Time - Involvement in enhancing partner capabilities through both remote and in-country support.


Immediate Availability: We are looking to fill this position promptly.


Objective:
The primary goal is to provide professional ICB support through advisory roles, educational instruction, and partner engagement to assist a SOUTHCOM partner nation's Ministry of National Defense and Armed Forces in developing solutions to cybersecurity and cyber defense challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a Cyber ICB strategy and engagement plan for the partner nation that aligns with bilateral strategic objectives.
  • Create ICB materials for both virtual and face-to-face engagements.
  • Lead and facilitate ICB sessions.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to devise long-term cybersecurity strategies that align with organizational or national security goals, considering geopolitical dynamics and technological advancements.
  • Policy Formulation: Expertise in analyzing and developing cybersecurity policies, understanding both domestic and international legal frameworks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Interdisciplinary Insight: Understanding of international relations, military operations, and intelligence gathering as they relate to cybersecurity.
  • Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret Clearance.
