LMI is in search of a Cybersecurity & Privacy Policy Analyst to deliver expert support for a government client in the Metropolitan Washington, DC Area.

Position Details

This is a full-time role that offers remote work flexibility. Occasional travel to client locations in the Washington, DC area may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity issues and federal regulations concerning cybersecurity and privacy. Experience in drafting and revising cybersecurity and privacy-related policies, procedures, manuals, and other official documentation for federal clients is essential. Attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. Responsibilities include:

  • Staying informed on federal guidance and requirements related to cybersecurity, privacy, and pertinent topics (e.g., Artificial Intelligence).
  • Providing research and editing support for policy updates and revisions.
  • Drafting new policies, procedures, and manuals for stakeholder review, including compliance and verification matrices.
  • Creating and updating crosswalk documents to ensure accuracy in customer document citations and links.
  • Developing reverse crosswalk documents to validate requirements cited in customer documentation.
  • Assisting in the creation of documentation to automate standard processes in ServiceNow related to cybersecurity and privacy activities.
  • Updating client documentation to align with current cybersecurity roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitating the customer’s continuous feedback process using tools like Microsoft Forms and GitHub to manage feedback on policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders to effectively incorporate feedback and provide high-quality support.
  • Ensuring all cybersecurity and privacy policy documentation is reviewed and updated at least annually, as necessary.
  • Providing continuous support to primary customer functional leads to cover their mission areas in cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Monitoring for updates in organizational structure, security, and privacy requirements to ensure compliance and responsiveness to new initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of eleven (11) years of experience in developing and updating cybersecurity and privacy-related policies and documentation.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive understanding of national and international laws, regulations, and policies regarding cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Expertise in Cybersecurity Principles, familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and preferred certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, networking concepts, and security methodologies.
  • Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer needs and ensure optimal support for documentation development and maintenance in line with federal guidelines.
  • Technical writing and graphic skills are essential for producing technical documents and graphics.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation to obtain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
  • Familiarity with GitHub for document review management or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience with DOD/NASA is a plus.
