Job Overview

Position: Part-Time Cyber Strategy and Policy Consultant


Summary: Hoplite Group is on the lookout for a part-time Cyber Strategy and Policy Consultant to assist in enhancing Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) for SOUTHCOM Partner Nations. We are interested in candidates with extensive experience in crafting sustainable cyber strategies.


Work Arrangement: Remote support with potential engagements in partner nations.


Effort Level: This is a part-time role focused on building partner capabilities, with engagements requiring approximately 80 hours of support. In months without travel, up to 30 hours of intercessional support may be expected.


Immediate Availability: We are looking to fill this position promptly.


Objective:

The primary goal is to provide professional ICB support through advisory services aimed at assisting a SOUTHCOM partner nation's Ministry of National Defense and Armed Forces Joint Command in developing effective solutions to cybersecurity and cyber defense challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a Cyber ICB strategy and engagement plan aligned with bilateral strategic goals.
  • Create ICB content for both virtual and in-person sessions.
  • Facilitate ICB engagements effectively.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop long-term cyber strategies that align with national security objectives, taking into account geopolitical dynamics and technological advancements.
  • Policy Formulation: Expertise in analyzing and developing cybersecurity policies, understanding legal frameworks, and adapting military cyber strategies to meet evolving threats.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including network security, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity laws and regulations at both domestic and international levels.
  • Interdisciplinary Insight: Understanding of the intersection between cybersecurity, international relations, military operations, and intelligence.
  • Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance.
