Key Responsibilities
  • Collects delinquent accounts and follows up to ensure prompt payment
  • Files all insurance claims in a timely manner
  • Maintains department records, reports, and files as required
  • Establishes payment arrangements with patients and insurance companies
  • Follows up with insurance companies to achieve prompt and accurate payments
  • Participates in educational programs and meetings as required
  • Answers inquiries regarding patient accounts and maintains confidentiality
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to use hospital information systems and operate basic computer functions and software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
