Job Summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Follow-Up Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for collecting delinquent accounts, following up with patients and insurance companies, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect and follow up on delinquent accounts to ensure prompt payment.
  2. File insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies to achieve accurate and timely payments.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient accounts and insurance claims.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and hospital staff to resolve account issues.
  5. Participate in educational programs and meetings to stay up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to use hospital information systems and operate basic computer functions and software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
