Customer Service Representative-Business Office

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Business Office team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting delinquent accounts, establishing payment arrangements with patients, and following up to ensure timely payments.
Key Responsibilities- Collect delinquent accounts and establish payment arrangements with patients.
- Evaluate unpaid accounts and work with collection agencies as needed.
- Handle bankruptcy accounts and follow phone etiquette policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other departments.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding their accounts.
- Set up payment arrangements and monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Work with self-paying accounts that are overdue and type and mail collection letters as needed.
- Record all transactions and correspondence on accounts and notify collection agencies of payments received.
- Prepare bad debt reports and handle medical liens.
- Accept and complete other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to use hospital information systems and operate basic computer functions and software.
