Position Overview
The Graduate Degree Audit Specialist is responsible for overseeing student academic records, ensuring compliance with university standards and facilitating the graduation process. This role includes the evaluation of petitions from graduate advisors, verification of necessary documentation, and the maintenance of accurate student records to support timely graduation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Evaluate and process graduate student applications for graduation, confirming that all degree requirements have been fulfilled.
2. Maintain confidential student files and ensure thorough documentation for accuracy.
3. Process degree audit petitions and update curriculum records as necessary.
4. Ensure that courses are accurately reflected in degree audits for financial aid eligibility.
5. Generate reports to verify record accuracy and monitor student progress.
6. Review and update degree audit templates and the Graduate Catalog in accordance with approved curriculum changes.
7. Provide exceptional customer service and general information to students, faculty, and staff.
8. Refer students to appropriate campus services as needed.
9. Review theses and dissertations for adherence to formatting standards and assist in related workshops.
10. Support commencement activities and perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Work Environment
Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments for events such as commencement. Remote work may be available for up to two days per week.
