Position Overview:

The Registrar at Smith Chason College plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate and comprehensive academic records for all students. This position involves managing admissions information, scheduling, attendance, and grading while fostering collaborative relationships with campus leadership, faculty, and staff. The Registrar ensures compliance with federal, state, administrative, and academic guidelines, serving as a vital communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise, confidential, and audit-ready student records, including academic performance, attendance, and graduation documentation.
  • Timely posting of final grades, reports, and awards according to institutional policy, and issuing transcripts and verification letters as needed.
  • Oversee student enrollment and registration each quarter, develop and update academic plans, and provide student schedules.
  • Evaluate transfer credits and verify that students meet graduation requirements.
  • Develop the Master Schedule of classes each quarter and engage in school events.
  • Collaborate with other administrative offices to deliver coordinated support for students and actively participate in meetings and training programs.
  • Offer confidential guidance and verification letters to students, ensuring fairness, respect, and impartiality while adhering to regulations and fostering a student-first environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in business administration is required.
  • Strong motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for Smith Chason College programs, with an understanding of the needs of adult learners.
  • Ability to support and encourage students in achieving high performance and maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities.
  • Technical proficiency in computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills, with a capacity to learn new software quickly.

Work Environment:
