POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking two experienced National Account Executives to join our team:

1. National Bypass Pumping Sector

2. Industrial Client Segment

The National Account Executive will be tasked with identifying and pursuing opportunities within their designated sector or client segment, focusing on large-scale projects and multi-site account management.

This role encompasses key account stewardship for significant clients, alongside strategic planning, competitive analysis, and market research pertinent to their sector or client segment. A primary responsibility is to ensure timely and effective responses to client inquiries. Ultimately, the National Account Executive is accountable for driving profitable revenue growth on a national level through the establishment and management of national accounts, as well as overseeing the execution of substantial projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead external sales initiatives within major accounts
  • Foster robust relationships across all organizational levels
  • Develop a detailed quarterly business strategy to meet objectives; conduct research, organize, analyze, and report sales and marketing data for the relevant sector or client segment, identifying the target customer base
  • Maintain and expand major accounts within assigned sectors or client segments, ensuring the maximization of national opportunities
  • Facilitate the implementation of major accounts across all Mersino branch locations, ensuring branches build effective relationships with local customer contacts
  • Oversee all major accounts within the designated market, monitoring branch activities to ensure revenue opportunities are fully utilized, providing insights and reporting to Branch Managers and Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) for underperforming locations
  • Seek out large-scale project opportunities that may fall outside typical branch territories or are too substantial for a branch to manage independently, collaborating with the Inside Sales team for bidding and estimating processes, ultimately transitioning to Operations for execution
  • Prepare proposals, attend pre-bid meetings, and engage with potential clients to discuss projects and visit job sites prior to bidding
  • Respond promptly to major accounts experiencing issues with ongoing projects; collaborate with the operational team to meet customer needs
  • Draft and submit a monthly strategy plan outlining goals and targets for the month
  • Maintain detailed reports of outreach to prospective clients via the CRM system
  • Ensure effective management of the sales pipeline by regularly updating the CRM with accurate information and ensuring proper follow-through
  • Secure change orders for any work that exceeds the original project scope
  • Complete the sales cycle by assisting in the collection process to ensure outstanding receivables are addressed
  • Plan and execute ongoing strategic and operational sales management activities
  • Participate in industry events to enhance the company's national image and recognition
  • Adhere to safety protocols in all activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in sales management or sales within the construction equipment sector
  • Strong planning and organizational skills for managing multiple projects
  • Proficient in standard PC software applications
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and bidding processes
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management
  • Familiarity with contract documents and specifications
  • Team-oriented approach, prioritizing the Mersino team over individual interests
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet job demands
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
