Position Summary:

  • As a Lead Application Operator, you will be responsible for grinding and deburring metal components for custom projects.
  • Proficient use of hand tools is essential.
  • Tasks include removing burrs and rough edges from various sheet metal parts.
  • Experience with power tools is required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings to ascertain specifications and dimensions.
  • Familiarity with reading Bills of Materials for production builds.
  • Repetitive hand use for sanding, polishing, grinding, and finishing is necessary.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and tools, including replacing abrasive pads as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by adhering to all company and safety protocols.
  • Represent the organization positively at all times.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Comply with the organization’s grooming and dress standards.
  • Keep the Department Lead informed of any significant issues or unusual matters.
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Department Lead or Management.
  • Handle loading and unloading of materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
  • Lift heavy objects manually or with appropriate equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas and surroundings.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow a series of instructions independently.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Lead Application Operator.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:

Base compensation is based on experience, ranging from $18/hr to $23/hr, along with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Birthday, Life Insurance, and Company Events.
