Compensation Details

The pay range for this position is as follows:

$49.65 - $59.49 per hour, depending on the level of expertise.

Position Overview

We are seeking multiple Electronics Technologists/Senior Electronics Technologists to support ongoing and new experiments at the High Explosives Applications Facility (HEAF). These roles are part of the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED) and the Weapon Technologies and Engineering (WTE) Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive electronic technical assistance to engineering and scientific teams to facilitate experiments and ensure operational readiness.
  • Design, fabricate, and assemble moderately complex electronic systems and components while adhering to established procedures.
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic tools, maintain control systems, and assist with calibration and alignment of equipment.
  • Document systems and maintain experimental records accurately.
  • Conduct maintenance and testing of facility-related equipment and ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Advanced Responsibilities for Senior Level

  • Deliver advanced technical support for complex weapon systems and develop operational procedures.
  • Design and fabricate intricate electronic systems, including planning and equipment selection.
  • Analyze and resolve complex electronic issues using innovative problem-solving techniques.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in using electrical diagnostic equipment and performing related tasks.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents and follow technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with engineering design and testing processes.
  • Experience with fabrication processes and operation of hand/power tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet medical qualifications for safety equipment usage.
  • Additional Qualifications for Senior Level
  • Extensive experience in electronic circuit design and systems.
  • Advanced technical skills in engineering principles for complex problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with classified materials and high explosives.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Operational knowledge of LabVIEW and industrial control systems.
