Your Role and Impact
The Senior Manager of Trade Operations will oversee all trade operations activities related to imports and exports in the United States, including management of Lam Research's Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ).

This role is crucial in helping the organization meet its cost and service objectives by managing the full spectrum of import-export transactions for manufacturing supplies, customer spare parts, and finished products.

This position ensures compliance with regulations set forth by United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other governmental agencies. The Senior Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on Incoterms, FTZ procedures, bonded shipments, and U.S. customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary representative for the company with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regarding Foreign Trade Zone operations.
- Respond to requests for information from U.S. CBP.
- Keep all bonds, approvals, and authorizations for import, export, and FTZ activities up to date and active as necessary.
- Manage the formal import and export procedures and controls across the company.
- Maintain the ICRS manual and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and manage U.S. Import Operations and FTZ teams, including both direct and indirect reports.
- Oversee the activities of the U.S. FTZ administrator and consultants, ensuring compliance with service agreements and contracts.
- Provide expert guidance and oversight for daily Trade Operations.
- Identify opportunities for duty refunds and leverage duty-saving programs.

Duty Mitigation Programs
- Oversee programs such as FTZ, FTA, Returned Goods, and Duty Drawback.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and the effectiveness of policies and controls.
- Develop and track KPIs and OKRs to promote continuous improvement.
- Regularly engage with senior management regarding Trade Operations matters.
- Deliver high-quality reports and updates to upper management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade or a related field.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience with a major importer or zone operator is preferred. Comparable experience at a customs broker or freight forwarder will also be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of export, import, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Foreign Trade Zone regulations.
- Certifications such as LCB, CCS, or Certified Zone Specialist (CZS) are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage data effectively and report on key metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in leading multiple cross-functional projects and effectively tracking progress.

Travel Requirements
Must be willing to travel up to 10%, primarily for internal meetings and engagements with U.S. CBP.
