Position Overview:

The Corporate Accountant plays a vital role in managing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks associated with various corporate accounting functions.

This role also oversees all stock-related activities and reporting, while coordinating the preparation of the annual proxy statement.


Key Responsibilities:


Assists the controller and assistant controller in monthly financial closings, SEC reporting, and regulatory submissions (Y-6, Y-11, Y9C).

Manages employee and director stock awards, including:

  • Annual grants
  • Exercise requests
  • Form 4 reporting
  • Vesting processes

Responsible for:

  • Maintaining files for stock holdings of directors and officers
  • Updating the database for stock awards
  • Ensuring compliance with all SEC filing requirements
  • Processing share repurchases

Conducts reconciliations and provides analytical support for the annual financial budget.

Performs financial assessments of business unit performance as requested by senior management.

Coordinates the preparation of the company's annual proxy statement, which includes:

  • Gathering input from stakeholders
  • Collaborating with HR for the compensation discussion and analysis (CD&A) section
  • Preparing and collecting annual director and officer (D&O) questionnaires


Engages in investor relations activities, including:

  • Maintaining information on the investor relations website
  • Preparing investor presentations
  • Managing the 10B 5-1 plan
  • Supporting annual and Board meeting preparations

Oversees the organization and maintenance of important documentation, both in hard copy and electronic formats.

Completes special projects as assigned by leadership and maintains accurate reporting of company fixed assets.

Ensures that IT time tracking is precise and allocated correctly.

Reviews and approves all processed invoices and tax documentation through Accounts Payable (AP) for accuracy, and serves as a backup Accounts Payable Associate when necessary.

Handles business license applications, tax declarations, and other regulatory obligations promptly and accurately.

Performs additional duties as required.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge or experience in applying US GAAP and SEC regulations to proxy, 10K, and other financial reporting.

Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with a strong aptitude for quickly learning new software.

Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret graphical data.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and external partners.

Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.


Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business with a focus on accounting, or equivalent experience.

1-3 years of experience in accounting-related roles is preferred.
