Job Overview
In this prominent role, the Financial Analyst for Commercial Operations will oversee the profitability management across all profit centers within our Global Pet Care (GPC) division. This position will also involve assisting in the coordination of financial planning, forecasting, and the assessment of actual performance against established targets.
Key Responsibilities
Analytical Functions (70%)
Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing teams, and the Revenue Growth Management group to design customer initiatives that effectively enhance sales, expand distribution, and increase market presence. Establish, track, and assess net pricing strategies for the division, incorporating insights from division leadership. Ensure adherence to corporate pricing policies across various channels by working closely with finance colleagues. Support sales managers in business forecasting and track performance against these forecasts. Aid in the formulation of the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Revised Forecasts, and Monthly Latest Estimates related to sales and profit margins, in line with corporate directives. Contribute to submissions for the SAC-P financial database and provide comparative analyses against diverse metrics. Participate in joint customer engagements with sales representatives as necessary to secure optimal financial agreements. Conduct quarterly performance reporting, including formal business reviews presented to sales and business unit executives.Support Functions (20%)
Collaborate with the customer service team to manage pricing strategies, resolve sales order holds, perform account reconciliations, and undertake additional projects as required. Maintain documentation that substantiates current customer initiatives and accruals. Play a vital role in addressing unmatched customer deductions, actively participating in deduction reviews and updates for the team. Prepare account evaluations for sales managers within these channels.Additional Responsibilities (10%)
Execute various ad-hoc reporting tasks as requested by management to facilitate the analysis of business trends.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; an MBA and/or CPA designation is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous. Proficiency in SAP or S4 is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).#LI-LM1
