Position Summary:

As an Automotive Lube Service Consultant, your role will involve welcoming customers and assessing their vehicle service requirements, effectively conveying those needs to service technicians, and coordinating with insurance providers when necessary. You will ensure that customers are well-informed about their repair or maintenance choices, accurately document work orders, and perform basic vehicle maintenance services. This position demands excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong customer service focus.

Competitive compensation - up to $21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet each customer promptly and courteously, ensuring that those waiting are aware they will be assisted shortly.
  • Engage with service customers to identify the nature of any mechanical issues.
  • Secure customer consent before proceeding with repairs, discussing cost estimates and expected completion times.
  • Accurately gather customer and vehicle information.
  • Schedule appointments using dealership-approved methods.
  • Advise customers on vehicle maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Communicate any additional work required to the customer, detailing costs and timeframes, and document repair orders accurately.
  • Monitor the progress of each repair order and inform customers of any changes in estimates or completion timelines.
  • Handle phone inquiries regarding ongoing work and appointments, returning messages promptly.
  • Interpret warranty information and policies for customers.
  • Notify customers when ordered parts arrive and arrange appointments for installation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry (preferred but not required).
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
