Job Summary:

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. We also specialize in Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients, ensuring positive outcomes and accurate documentation.
  • Perform delegated nursing functions, adhering to established procedures, policies, and guidelines, as observed by the Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing.
  • Administer medication accurately, monitoring client response and documenting in the medical record.
  • Maintain effective communication among clients, staff, and physicians, as reflected in the medical record and client feedback.
  • Assist in ensuring effective communication with patients, as reflected in the plan of care.
  • Provide punctual and comprehensive change of shift reports, including relevant information for assigned patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, as evidenced by feedback from other departments.
  • Respond to telephone calls and inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Requirements:

  • Valid LPN licensure in the state of MN
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment
  • Pass a background check
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred)
