Job Summary

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a leading provider of specialized healthcare services for individuals battling substance use disorders. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in our team's efforts to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with substance use disorders, including those with Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder.
  • Administer medication accurately and observe client response, ensuring positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, staff, and physicians to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in client admissions, narcotics counts, and prior authorizations, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct MAR audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN licensure in the state of Minnesota.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Minnesota Statutes related to providing services for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred).
