Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Facilities Engineering Project Coordinator is a seasoned expert with a comprehensive understanding of the field and hands-on experience in project oversight. This role involves managing various initiatives or workflows, planning, designing, and supervising the reconfiguration, upkeep, construction, and modification of equipment, structures, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates construction management, architectural design, and compliance with regulations within the Aerospace Facilities Management team.
  • Oversees contractor activities and collaborates with clients to meet program specifications.
  • Engages in projects such as facility renovations, infrastructure enhancements, equipment installations, and related site preparations to support the dynamic needs of the business.
  • Manages all aspects of project execution, including requirement assessment, cost estimation, scheduling, budget oversight, design supervision, and project completion.
  • Maintains a customer-centric approach, focusing on metrics, value engineering, process optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Employs the e3 operating system to promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across the department.
  • Handles multiple projects concurrently, taking full responsibility for both large and small-scale initiatives while also contributing as a team member in other projects.
  • Operates effectively in a diverse and evolving environment, catering to numerous internal and external stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Collaborates closely with Facilities Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Aids in the formulation of capital and operational budgets for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Engineering or a related discipline, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of pertinent experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities (both verbal and written).
  • Experience in directing the design and execution of architectural, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficient project management skills with the capability to effectively collaborate with contractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPA, and local building codes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Estimating software.
  • Experience interpreting engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts.
  • Knowledge of both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project methodologies.
