M/E Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a full-service MEP engineering firm, we provide design and technology services to our clients, creating built environments that support a sustainable future for the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical engineering projects, demonstrating a professional attitude and commitment to M/E's reputation and growth.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, adoption, and modifications of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Work with senior engineers and project managers to finalize project scope and schedule of deliverables, understanding priorities and making informed decisions.
  • Apply advanced practices and techniques, adjusting and correlating data, recognizing discrepancies, and following projects through various phases.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review work, scheduling and assigning tasks to meet completion dates.
  • Develop reports, studies, and system analysis, working efficiently and effectively to make good decisions.
  • Evaluate the application of substitute equipment and review final adjustments after installation.
  • Represent the firm at meetings, covering all trades and following up as needed.
  • Mentor and train younger engineers and designers, estimating workforce needs and updating project managers on status and resources.
Requirements
  • Possess a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree.
  • Have at least eight years of experience in responsible charge of project design in the respective discipline, with advanced courses, training programs, or seminars in Engineering and Management.
Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $87,360 to $120,000 per year.
