Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Underwriter-Specialty Group Captives to join our team. As an Underwriter-Specialty Group Captives, you'll be responsible for underwriting and negotiating complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability. You'll also be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with external partners and developing and maintaining relationships with internal partners.

- Foster and maintain relationships with external partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners
- Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
- Independently develop and execute agency sales plans and frequently partner with your Managing Director to develop region/group sales plans
- May assist in the training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives
- Travel nationally and internationally required on occasion
- Bachelor's degree
- Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in commercial lines
- Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting casualty products, the regulatory environment, and the broader insurance market
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and analyze available information to make timely decisions in alignment with our risk appetite
- Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate with agents and brokers
- CPCU designation
