POSITION OVERVIEW
We are thrilled to invite a Customer Service Representative to our Accounting Team. We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic individual eager to enhance their accounting knowledge and gain experience within the insurance sector. As a Customer Service Representative, you will engage with numerous independent insurance brokers and agents nationwide. You will serve as the primary contact for accounting-related inquiries, aiming to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Your role will be crucial in addressing and resolving regular inbound questions via email and phone. This is a remarkable opportunity to learn and contribute to both the Commercial Insurance industry and the Accounting/Finance domain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience with every interaction via phone and email.
- Process check deposits, incoming payments, refunds, and commissions.
- Utilize technical knowledge to address customer inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
- Act as a liaison, facilitating smooth communication between customers and our accounting and finance department, as well as other departments within the organization.
- Manage customer and broker service inquiries through to resolution.
- Follow up on accounts receivable collections.
- Perform general office and clerical tasks.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
- At least 1 year of experience in a general accounting or cash applications role.
- Associate's degree in accounting or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to multiple computer operating systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- A natural curiosity and desire for problem identification and resolution.
- A sense of urgency in resolving issues and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a valuable asset.
