Job Title: Sales Account Executive

We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Executive to join our team at Nexstar Broadcasting. As a Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating advertising revenue by calling on established local businesses, developing new prospects, and convincing potential clients of the merits of television and digital advertising.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
  • Establish credible relationships with local business community.
  • Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.
  • Explains to customers how specific Television and Digital advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
  • Develops advertising schedules for client partners after a thorough Needs Analysis, utilizing research tools and expertise from Station Managers with a long tenure of developing successful campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred.
  • Manhattan, KS area Media experience is most desired, but we want to talk to you if you are a customer-focused Sales Executive with business-to-business experience.
  • Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
