As we endeavor to evolve and modernize our operations, the finance department plays a pivotal role in supporting all business functions. Our finance team excels in collaboration, teamwork, and accountability, driving sustainable growth and success for our stakeholders. In partnership with product development, technology, branch operations, and central management, the finance team is tasked with evaluating the competitive landscape, validating revenue and risk assumptions, and optimizing cost structures to deliver comprehensive monthly forecasts and long-term strategic plans.

We are in search of a seasoned Lead Financial Strategist to enhance and oversee the Company's budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical capabilities. This role will be instrumental in fulfilling the objectives of the FP&A team and supporting the executive management's strategic goals.
  • Oversee corporate budgeting and regular forecasting for corporate functions as well as significant initiatives and projects.
  • Assess capital and other investments (e.g., headcount) using key performance indicators such as EBITDA, ROIC, and operating leverage to substantiate business cases. Monitor, report, and analyze performance metrics throughout the investment lifecycle.
  • Assist in the contract approval process and financial oversight of vendors, including financial and risk assessments of new and key partnerships.
  • Conduct competitive financial and operational analyses among market peers and share insights with key stakeholders during management reviews.
  • Continue to develop dynamic financial models and analyses to support business growth, adapt to changes in key assumptions and drivers, and incorporate critical initiatives.
  • Create, implement, and present standardized reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and presentations to effectively communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to operational and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with non-financial managers to enhance data transformation processes and improve understanding of financial requirements.
  • Automate reporting, modeling, and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency and improve analytical insights.
  • Work closely with risk and operations teams to identify and share insights for revenue optimization and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A within a Financial Analyst capacity, preferably in the consumer finance sector.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong analytical approach and a proven track record of driving business and operational improvements, with the ability to work independently and interpret relevant themes from both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • A hands-on, innovative approach to financial modeling and developing business decision support tools.
  • Confidence in cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to convey complex concepts, provide business insights, motivate change, and achieve tangible results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SQL, PowerBI, Hyperion/Oracle/Essbase/PBCS.
  • Strong presentation skills in various settings, including one-on-one, small groups, and larger audiences.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling, forecasting, portfolio P&L simulation, profitability tracking, and strategies for marginal expansion.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with leadership capabilities, a high level of initiative, intellectual curiosity, and creativity.
  • Expertise in developing accounting and management statements with a focus on enhancing profitability and capital allocation strategies (experience in consumer lending is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities, demonstrated by the capacity to apply rigorous logic and methods to develop effective solutions.
