Position Overview:
This role is essential within the finance department, responsible for ensuring the precise preparation of financial data and reports, as well as the timely execution of the monthly closing process and thorough review of account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month-end closing procedures.
  • Review and reconcile month-end data reports corresponding to journal entries.
  • Assess the accuracy and validity of financial information provided by business units.
  • Conduct month-end closing activities, including the preparation and recording of all relevant journal entries.
  • Guarantee that balances reflected in financial statements are correct.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly reports along with detailed fluctuation analyses.
  • Facilitate departmental month-end closing meetings.
  • Assist in preparing materials for executive presentations and special projects as directed by management.
  • Complete quarterly, annual, and fiscal reporting along with financial statements.
  • Prepare and review supporting schedules and documentation for external financial audits.
  • Provide necessary information for periodic regulatory audits and tax reporting.
  • Independently manage various ad-hoc requests from internal departments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead and/or support management-directed special projects.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and streamline existing accounting policies and procedures, leveraging available technology.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced reporting experience is crucial.
  • Strong day-to-day accounting expertise is essential.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and initiative; capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in public accounting with a national firm.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP applications, preferably SAP.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
