Position Overview:
The Ladders is in search of a Lead Financial Accountant to enhance our Finance team. We seek an individual who is self-motivated and capable of working autonomously to meet both personal and collective objectives. The Lead Financial Accountant will oversee the organization's accounting methodologies, facilitate financial reporting and strategic planning, and nurture relationships with financial entities and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting operations and oversee the month-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Prepare journal entries, including but not limited to accruals, deferrals, prepaids, depreciation, and reclassifications, while maintaining reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of monthly internal financial reports.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions through customer and vendor reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in payroll processing and related reporting.
  • Compile ad hoc financial reports and analyze data to uncover insights.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate interim and year-end financial statement audits.
  • Assist external tax advisors with various financial and accounting inquiries.
  • Collaborate across departments as a strategic partner, providing financial insights that drive operational success.
  • Support accounting processes to enhance internal controls, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Assist with the transition to an ERP system and become a subject matter expert in its functionalities.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and a solid grasp of GAAP.
  • Exceptional internal customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A strong desire for success coupled with a robust work ethic, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems with minimal supervision.

The base salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience, training, knowledge, and skills. The Ladders reserves the right to modify pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
