About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the school's mission to create a future where humans and nature thrive in concert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty and staff, including planning and organizing events, coordinating travel, and managing equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with departmental activities, such as coordinating seminar logistics and community building events.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and potential applicants.
  • Process financial transactions, including TCard, PCard, expense reimbursements, and purchase orders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma and four years of administrative experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with office software and email applications.
  • Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with event planning and familiarity with Stanford University systems, policies, and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web content management.
Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $39.46 to $44.30 per hour, commensurate with experience. Stanford University provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement plan and paid time off.
