About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care and service for our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Veterinary Care: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality care to pets, including preparing patients for exams and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean hospital environment.
  • Client Communication: Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and hospital services, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all.
  • Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including client information, pet history, and treatment plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient care.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner, using sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience: One year of related experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting, with customer service skills preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical software and equipment.
