About the Job

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef who shares our passion for excellence and artistry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing sushi and Japanese cuisine, a commitment to using the finest ingredients, and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry.
  • Create innovative and seasonal sushi menu items while respecting traditional techniques.
  • Ensure the freshness, quality, and proper handling of all seafood and other ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, sharing knowledge and techniques.
  • Monitor inventory, manage waste, and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Engage with guests when appropriate to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, techniques, and ingredients.
  • Exceptional knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
