Overview of the Role

The Senior Engineer for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is responsible for spearheading the development and integration of hardware components and systems essential for ADAS technology. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities to mentor junior engineers and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive 3D models and 2D schematics for automotive electrical components, guiding projects from initial concept through to mass production. These components may encompass vision systems, radar technologies, and safety sensors.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, layout evaluations, and analyze cost, weight, and maintenance considerations for designs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing design guidelines and proactively propose enhancements to Technical Management.
  • Oversee project timelines and coordinate with relevant departments and suppliers while exploring new technologies and market trends.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports to stakeholders.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships across various organizational levels, including with suppliers.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on service.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to new environments and the ability to navigate uncertainties.
  • Effective time management and productivity skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in software tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Word, CATIA, and CAE.

  • Experience in designing for assembly and conducting tolerance studies.

Work Environment

  • Commitment to fulfilling necessary work hours, including potential overtime and flexible scheduling.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, bending, sitting, standing, and maneuvering within vehicles.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Work is conducted in a hybrid model, combining on-site and remote work.
  • Testing of vehicle-level systems may occur in designated labs or contracted facilities.
