Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead landscape architecture projects for both commercial and public sector clients. This role involves conducting research, developing plans, creating designs, and overseeing project execution while managing a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management tasks including planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring quality control in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Provide landscape architectural services across various offices within the organization.
  • Engage with clients to ascertain project requirements and deliver comprehensive design proposals, including specifications, materials, and estimated costs.
  • Develop project timelines, draft contracts, and integrate design components into cohesive plans for client approval.
  • Research and prepare proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to initiate new projects and manage client invoicing.
  • Manage project timelines and resource allocation, collaborating with organizational leaders on project progress.
  • Assist clients in negotiations with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise the construction administration phase of projects.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Forecast workload and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands.
  • Direct the activities of landscape architects, designers, and technical staff involved in drafting and documentation.
  • Prepare operational and compliance reports as mandated by company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in business development efforts to enhance company visibility and client relationships.
  • Participate in community events and professional organizations to promote the company.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Supervisory Duties: Responsible for guiding and evaluating project team members, including hiring, training, and performance management in alignment with organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Five to ten years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Registered Landscape Architect certification valid in the state of practice.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.

Physical and Work Environment: The role requires regular sitting, use of hands, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
