The Senior Vice President will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and managing client strategies that ensure successful integration and execution of priorities by our operational teams. This position drives key initiatives that yield mutually advantageous outcomes for both our clients and Carlyle Group. As an active member of the Client Engagement Leadership Team, this role involves leading, training, and developing essential team members in all facets of client operations. The focus will be on enhancing financial management, revenue generation, fund oversight, and minimizing deductions while promoting increased consumption and market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the identification and execution of business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
  • Facilitate internal collaboration with Business Insights, Retail, and Client Service teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Hold direct accountability for the capacity and capability of the Business Development team.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and retailers, maximizing opportunities to represent Carlyle Group in industry associations or events.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams to formulate strategies, establish production schedules, and develop resource plans for timely responses.
  • Craft scopes of work, response questionnaires, evaluation criteria, and scoring for RFPs to deliver diverse solutions.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies and sales plans for targeted markets.
  • Maintain direct responsibility for assigned client accounts.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure accountability for overall results, including profitability and the execution of growth strategies.
  • Develop and track the annual business plan for the Client team, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Carlyle Group's capabilities to address client challenges and drive revenue growth.
  • Enhance client engagement by managing relationships with top executives, elevating discussions to a strategic level.
  • Oversee the value proposition with senior client executives, ensuring clarity and advancement.
  • Recommend services and solutions to address client business challenges to senior management.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly updates, forecasts, and resolutions for retailer issues.
  • Summarize client business progress against expectations and outstanding issues on a monthly basis.
  • Lead the quarterly business review process.
  • Initiate strategic planning with team leaders and local managers, providing direction for resource allocation.
  • Manage revenue, budget, and P&L to achieve assigned business and financial objectives, while expanding overall revenue and service share.
  • Monitor and resolve revenue and forecasting issues that may affect cash flow.
  • Oversee annual forecasting and tracking of projected commissions and bonuses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the consumer packaged goods sector (Sales, Insights, or Marketing).
  • 4+ years of leadership experience within Carlyle Group or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Extensive multi-market/national experience.
  • Experience in contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail; proficiency in financial management.
  • Customer service and supply chain experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and influence team members towards achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in business information systems and software, including MS Office and data analytics tools.
