Senior Space Planning Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Space Planning Manager will be responsible for spearheading the creation and application of data that empowers our sales team and broker partners to achieve esteemed status with our clientele. This role also encompasses project management and coordination for various space planning initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all operations related to space planning and merchandising for designated categories, ensuring alignment with client and customer needs.
- Provide training, supervision, and performance evaluations for direct reports, maintaining accountability through scorecards and success stories.
- Analyze data to formulate strategic recommendations that align with the objectives of our clients and customers.
- Direct the preparation of client deliverables related to space management, including visual aids such as charts, graphs, velocity reports, financial metrics, and planogram layouts.
- Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements and develop tailored proposals that meet their expectations, acting as their advocate within Acosta.
- Deliver analytical support for category management projects, including the development and upkeep of planograms, store clustering, and the implementation of merchandising standards, utilizing Acosta's proprietary tools and automation capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree or equivalent work experience, with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a space management or technology-based solution role.
- Preferred experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with a background in data analysis and project management being advantageous.
- Familiarity with Blue Yonder Category Management Suite and/or BY Space Planning is preferred, alongside general experience with space planning software and proficiency in Windows applications, including PowerPoint and Excel for data mining and CPG math concepts.
- Proven experience in managing a diverse team with varying skill sets.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage projects, track progress, and ensure team accountability.
