****************CONTINGENT UPON AWARDING OF GOVERNMENT CONTRACT********

The Operations Center Representative is responsible for overseeing the AOC desk at the United States Capitol Police Command Center, providing continuous monitoring of events impacting the Capitol Complex. This role is crucial in alerting AOC leadership and coordinating the deployment of AOC resources as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor USCP radio communications, media updates, and various information sources to gather data that may influence AOC operations and the security of the Capitol Complex.
  • Evaluate impacts such as road closures, access restrictions, and other operational limitations.
  • Track the status of significant events and provide timely updates.
  • Collaborate with USCP, House and Senate Sergeants at Arms, and other governmental entities.
  • Coordinate AOC's response to incidents that may affect operations or security within the Capitol Complex.
  • Review and suggest enhancements to AOC Command Center checklists and operational materials.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures for AOC Command Center functions.
  • Notify AOC leadership regarding events that could impact the security and operations of the Capitol Campus.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and to effectively manage new demands.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks amidst frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exhibiting professionalism and the ability to engage with others with discretion and tact.
  • Ability to produce and refine clear, concise, and grammatically accurate documents, including reports and procedural guidelines.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • Must possess a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and maintain it throughout the contract duration.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
    • Law enforcement or security
    • Emergency Management
    • Operations within law enforcement, security, or emergency management centers

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
