C2C is in search of an Operations Center Surveillance Officer. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in a dynamic, 24/7 watch center team supporting the US Navy. We are looking for individuals with backgrounds in military service, operations management, and emergency response. This role involves working in a 24/7 operations center and requires shift work, alternating between day and night shifts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of military service.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in an operations center, command center, or communications center.
  • Direct experience with Navy Installation Emergency Management or a comparable program.

Security Clearance:

  • Final DoD Secret Clearance required.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Surveillance Officer include:

  • Operating within an operations center environment.
  • Establishing situational awareness of ongoing incidents that may impact Navy shore operations.
  • Facilitating continuous information sharing, knowledge management, and reporting support through collaborative processes.
  • Identifying Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs) and disseminating vital information to relevant HQ staff and installations.
  • Creating written reports for senior leadership.
  • Preparing and delivering briefings to aid the Commander's decision-making process.
  • Responding to Requests For Information (RFI) from senior and subordinate staff.
  • Supporting Crisis Operations Information Management utilizing existing SharePoint tools and other information systems.
  • Monitoring and managing the status of equipment within the Operations Center.
  • Handling classified materials and maintaining secure access protocols.
  • Adhering to local security procedures and supporting Information Assurance (IA) requirements to safeguard the Operations Center.
  • Ensuring positive access control to the Operations Center.
  • Participating as a key member of the Continuity of Operations (COOP) team.
  • Complying with all regulations and policies regarding secure communications equipment and procedures.
